IMIA was founded in 2024 to bridge the gap between independent creativity and industry-standard resources. We recognized that while major labels had their own infrastructure, the independent sector—the fastest-growing segment of the music industry—was often left to navigate the landscape alone.
Today, IMIA serves thousands of members across 45 countries, providing the certifications, networking, and advocacy needed to build sustainable careers in the modern music economy.
