The IMIA Dream Campus is the long‑term vision of the Independent Music Industry Association (IMIA) — a nonprofit governing body built to uplift independent artists, music professionals, and the creative economy. This campus will be the first of its kind: a creative, educational, and community‑driven headquarters designed to transform both the independent music industry and the City of Chester.
What the Dream Campus Will Be
The IMIA Dream Campus is designed as a modern creative hub, featuring:
- IMIA Headquarters — a glass, state‑of‑the‑art building housing IMIA leadership, certification operations, member services, and industry programs.
- 10,000‑Seat Amphitheater — a performance space for concerts, festivals, award shows, graduations, and community events.
- Indie Walk of Fame — a neon‑lit tribute honoring independent creators who shaped culture and opened doors for the next generation.
- Vendor Row — pre‑built vendor stations supporting small businesses, food entrepreneurs, and event partners.
- Youth & Community Spaces — classrooms, rehearsal rooms, mentorship labs, and safe creative spaces for Chester’s young people.
- Green Spaces & IMIA Monument — a central landmark surrounded by gardens, banners, and community gathering areas.
This campus is more than buildings — it’s a creative ecosystem.
